Afterall - it's not even the 'real' music, and I see no reasoon why they can't be allowed to be used as long as they are not being used as part for profit. At the moment it's more to do with midi files that belong to MIDI Production Company/s that have somehow gotten on the net as freeware and they're not - they're copyrighted by the production company/s and are not to be distributed whether it's for profit or not. Somewhere along the way, some have had the copyright notices deleted, so nobody knows who the midi file belongs to. And so begins the schmazzole and on down the line it goes to the point of being, as you say, "ridiculous". |

I guess they're doing it cos they have confidence that I'll be online again soon. Prior to February the site was always online. I miss all the e-mail and requests I use to get from Glenn's 70's & 80's Rockin' MIDI Site. I know you were trying to build up your site to have 1,000 high quality MIDI files like me. Now, I see you only have 1. Well, that's more then I have, which is 0. I will hang in there for a few more weeks, and if nothing gets resolved by then, I might give it up. If things look brighter in a few weeks, I'll start it back up. It is hard to believe that one man could have caused this major loss of MIDI on the Internet. I have been looking around, and I see so many great MIDI sites shutting down. I think the MP3 sites are the ones that need to be closed, not MIDI. These are not even counting all the Real Audio sites that have full length music. MIDI files are not real music. They are just a set of instructions sent to the sound card to simulate music. I wish these people in the recording industry would get it through their thick heads! Mystiqal, I wish you the best of luck, which ever way you decide to go.
